Hengry Dumpling House

Finally tried this place and am happy I did, The staff are very attentive and respectful. Great beer selection. Cute decor with large windows and natural lighting. Not the greatest selection for vegetarian / vegan items but the items I did get were delicious, I got the eggplant tofu, vegetable dumplings and the garlic bok choy. The sauces were savory and complex but also healthy. I felt light after the meal which was great. They have a water station right in front!

I got the sauteed string beans and the pan seared pork cabbage dumplings. Both were delicious!

Great vibes. I’m looking forward to coming back.

I was really excited to see a new dumpling spot open in NE Portland and it did not disappoint. Soup dumplings are incredible, but everything we ordered was really good! The green bean dish was the perfect balance of garlic and spice. Spice was very balanced and not overpowering. Definitely recommend checking this place out. We will be back to try more things on the menu.

Went shortly after their grand opening and had a great experience! Soup dumplings were good, and the vegetable dishes had generous portions. Food came out as it was ready and they also serve beer and cocktails

So excited to have this place down the street! We got the soup dumplings, the kung Pao dumplings, and the bok choy. Everything was so tasty and flavorful, with hearty portions. Service was great as well. We only had beer, but their drink selection seems interesting too. Can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu, including their ramen!
